U.S Air Force Completes Integrated Collision Avoidance Tests on F-16
(Fort Worth, Texas – November 10, 2017) ZedaSoft, Inc., a simulation and visualization software company continues to support this important life saving technology through the dual-dome simulators provided for the Integrated Collision Avoidance System (ICAS) algorithm development testing. The ICAS phase tested the integration of both the Auto Air Collision Avoidance System (ACAS) and the Aviation Week Laureate Award- winning Auto GCAS technologies on USAF F-16 fighter aircraft. These programs were developed in conjunction with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. At this time the Auto GCAS system has been credited with saving seven F-16 pilots and six aircraft from ground collision.
The ZedaSoft dual dome system includes two Reconfigurable Cockpit System (RCS) simulators, two Reconfigurable Desktop Simulators, Experimenter Operator Stations, and two 270 degree Immersive Displays Solutions (http://www.immersivedisplayinc.com ) dome projection systems each running ten channels of MetaVRTM (www.metavr.com) Virtual Reality Scene Generation (VRSG) visual scene rendering software.
