For Immediate Release ZedaSoft, Inc. a Local Fort Worth Company Flies with the Big Guys at Army Aviation Conference
ZedaSoft, a small defense simulation company has developed a Reconfigurable Cockpit Simulator (RCS) solution to complement its patented simulation software framework, CBA® for Simulation. The RCS has been developed to provide the defense laboratory and business development marketplace with a cost-effective modular system than can represent multiple types of aircraft. These cost-effective solutions have been purchased by the U.S. Army Air Maneuver Battle Laboratory, the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, Lockheed Martin, The Boeing Company and Elbit Systems of America. ZedaSoft’s CBA® for Simulation provides software building blocks that allow these users to simulate multiple aircraft types, including the AH-64D Apache and OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopters and the F-22A, F-18E and F-16C fighters. ZedaSoft’s new RCS takes this idea one step further by providing a set of hardware building blocks that can be interchanged to simulate all of these aircraft types at a quarter of the cost of traditional defense simulators. In addition to the RCS solution, ZedaSoft, Inc. has teamed with other small companies to provide an integrated dome visual system, a Command and Control (C2) network-centric communications simulator and a network training debriefing system. Immersive Display Solutions (www.immersivedisplayinc.com) provides the dome visual screen, projectors and structure. MetaVRTM, Inc. (www.metavr.com) provides the virtual reality scene graph software that renders the Afghanistan terrain and cultural models. PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. (www.plexsysipi.com) provides the C2 and radio communication simulation nodes for the synthetic battlefield environment. IP Video Systems (www.ipvideosys.com) provides the network-based After Action Review debriefing system.
